Getting in Shape at 40

At 40 and as a woman, a lot of things happens to the normal anatomy and physiology of the body. There is a huge tendency to gain as much as 10 pounds every decade at age 40 or even after age 40 and this is due to a rapid loss in muscle tissue compared to an increasing amount of fatty tissues. Also, at age 40, you will realize that your joints are also getting old (40 years) and therefor you might want to change your usual exercise routine and intensity so as to keep up with the physiological, physical and hormonal changes of your body.
